Maxwell Street Legal Clinic helps hundreds of clients each year in Kentucky. Without our many dedicated volunteers and generous benefactors, much of our work would remain undone. We thank you for taking an interest in helping us alleviate serious hardship for some of the most vulnerable members of our community, including the working-class poor and immigrant populations.
If you would like to make a donation to Maxwell Street Legal Clinic, we thank you! You may designate a one-time or recurring gift, donate anonymously or publicly, designate your funds toward a specific purpose, or dedicate a gift on behalf of or in memory of another person. In 2008, Maxwell Street Legal Clinic became a program of Kentucky Equal Justice Center. Kentucky Equal Justice Center is the new name for Office of Kentucky Legal Services Programs, a
nonprofit with over 30 years of successful legal advocacy for low income Kentuckians. Contributions to Maxwell Street Legal Clinic are tax deductible.
Many thanks to our generous funders, including the
Kentucky Bar Foundation, Fayette County Bar Foundation, Catholic Diocese of Lexington, American Association of Immigration Lawyers Mid-South Chapter and many, many individuals and congregations
We are always looking to expand our team of volunteers. Our staff and volunteers gain great experience working in a vibrant public interest legal clinic. Spanish speaking ability is not required. Our major need is for volunteers who can give a few hours of work per week on a consistent schedule. Please call us at
