Employment

If you think your boss has been paying you less than minimum wage, or has not paid you for overtime hours, come to our monthly wage claim clinic. On every third Wednesday of the month, Maxwell Street hosts a self-help wage claim clinic between 4-7 p.m. in which workers can come and talk to an employment lawyer for free and either write a demand letter to their employer, demanding their lost or owed wages, or receive guidance with the process of filing a claim through the Kentucky Labor Cabinet.
For more information on upcoming wage claim clinics, visit our Events page. Our next clinic will take place on Wednesday, February 18th from 4 to 7 p.m.

In addition to the monthly clinics, the employment law team works with other organizations to help spread the word about workers' rights in the workplace. We go to many community events and give bilingual presentations regarding basic rights in the workplace and what to do if those rights have been violated. If you are interested in having us come speak to your community, please give Daniel a call at 859-233-3840 or email him at danielwelsh@kyequaljustice.org.
